Glacier Park

I'm just a little in love with this little man. Before we left for the day he was outside checking out the farm and enjoying the sunny weather which had finally come. Madison, my niece, watched all three kids ALL day for me! She is an angel. Lots of pictures here...not too much to say except that Glacier is beautiful and this year especially with all the rain and cool weather. I was also able to start using my new camera that Scott got me for graduation....I know what some of you are thinking "but you didn't graduate, he did"...oh yes I did...I graduated from having survived without him for years. It's so nice to have him around. Sorry, totally side tracked...enjoy the pictures.

Lake McDonald

Here's a chance to check out my new telephoto...see that waterfall across the way...
Pretty awesome huh?
This is my favorite view of the valley...I can just imagine how the glacier slowly carved its way through the rock. Can't you see it?

These are my favorite colors...I'd decorate my house in colors like this if I knew how. They are much better in person, but I tried to capture it so I could remember.

Our Time with Maxine

This is my sweet neighbor Maxine. She sacrificed a week to come and help me on the drive...by the time we got to Montana we both realized we hadn't packed enough WARM clothes. It was cold the first week we were there...high's in the low 60's...basically winter for us. She was a trooper though and layered up with every article of clothing she had. Eliza was able to help Grandma make cookies...because thta is what Grandma does!Due to the bad weather we didn't stay at the lake like we had planned but headed over to my sisters farm to spend a day there before we headed to Glacier in hopes that the weather would clear and we'd be able to see the mountains.

This is a view across one of the fields on the farm.We headed down to the river but I hadn't brought any swimming stuff for the kids...oh well, it was all fun except Jenna was eaten by mosquitos...only the beginning though.

Bridger and Eliza tried to stay warm.

Let us Begin...

The drive was thankfully uneventful to Salt Lake, July 2. I was so grateful to have Maxine in the car who took care of James and throwing down all of his toys one at a time and changing DVD's for the girls. We made it to my Bryce's house in the afternoon and the kids were able to get out of the car and run wild with the cousins. We were even there to welcome Finley home...the girls were SOOOO happy to see a new baby. Kind of makes our baby look like a giant!

Next we headed to Temple Square...it really has changed quite a bit since I was there. The South Visitor center is so nice now and has a beautiful display about the temple. The Tabernacle has had new staircases put in and rows removed so people can walk more freely...looks like it has always been like that. It was wonderful to be back. The grounds were beautiful, as usual, and the sisters were so sweet.

We spent the night with our friends, the Hubrichs, just north of Salt Lake. It was so fun to catch up with them...to see Sean just before he left on a mission and to see Katelyn who just got home from hers.

Saturday was another fun day of travel. We now had Grandma with us to help with the kids, so the car was full and happy. We drove straight into Missoula for a quick bite to eat with family and then to a baseball game where our nephew/cousin was celebrating his 8th birthday. He even got to pitch the first ball!

This is him just after he threw the ball. He was soooo cute! Happy Birthday Boston!

I'm Back

I know you have been wondering where I have been...but I am back! I've got TONS of picture to share and don't want to get started on blogging until I download those. That is next on the agenda so hopefully soon I can start updating. Oh, we had a great trip! So much fun in Montana.

Breakfast

Could you be any more relaxed?

For No Good Reason

Except that he loves me! What a man!

Brian Head Utah

We went up to Brian Head and spent a nice long weekend since I totally messed up Memorial Day! I thought I was being soooo cool and getting my reservations done in March for Memorial day camping at Zion National Park. I checked dates...reserved three nights, since it was the long weekend...only to find out that I had reserved them for the week BEFORE memorial day. I was so good to give this to Scott for his birthday present....no present for him. So, Dix and Kaleen said we could go use the cabin. Oh, it was BEAUTIFUL!Can't tell you how much fun James had just walking up and down this road...he thought he was such a big boy.Jenna and her bugs! She likes to kill them, put them on her hand and bring them to me. It's like a cat with a dead mouse...

Like always we owe the Jarmans for such a wonderful weekend...really, if we didn't have such good friends we'd never get out of the valley!
